Charles Dickens surely understood that none of us are immune from life's troubles. However, as the quote below makes clear, he also new that as God's children we all have value and blessings that He has provided us.

Our challenge each day is to not let a world that would prefer we focus on our troubles cause us to do that. You see, the world knows that if we focus on our troubles we will go looking for solutions that are not God's solutions and in turn are not eternal. If we look to God for answers all the sudden our blessings become magnified and our attitudes become positive. So as the Bible verse tells us, stay focused on your blessings because we all have them.
"Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits." - Psalm 103:2
