We live in a world where everything is fast. You name it, we want it fast. Trouble is "fast" dosen't usually go hand in hand with relaxation. How many times have you thought... "I just can't take time now, there's too much to do"? Guess what! Sydney J. Harris hit the nail on the head when he said...
"The time to relax is.... when you don't think you have time for it." - Sydney J. Harris
We often don't associate God with relaxation but God's promises to us should promote the ultimate in relaxation. Remember when Jesus was in the boat with his disciples during an awful storm. The desciples were scared out of their minds. Hardly a relaxing state. Do you remember what Jesus was doing. That's right... sleeping. Jesus new that trusting in Him and His Father was where the disciples thoughts should have been, but like us, they were too busy trying to find their own solutions. So, remember the promises of your Father in heaven and relax!
"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28
