It absolutely never fails! Just about the time you get to thinking you know it all, something happens that humbles you to your knees and you realize, once again, your relative insignificance in this world in which we live. Now, don't take that the wrong way. As caring, thoughtful, motivated humans we have the ability to do great things and influence others in wonderfully positive ways. But folks, in the big scheme of things we have so little understanding of God's amazing and awsome power and reach. We tend to frame every situation, idea or challenge with our human understanding of what is. What we fail to recognize, and humble our egos with, is the fact that human understanding is a tiny fraction of God's understanding. Ralph Waldo Emerson displayed great trust and humility when he said the following....
"All I have seen teaches me to trust the Creator for all I have not seen." - Ralph Waldo Emerson So, assuming you accept your insignificance, what do you do? The answer is quite simple. You must trust. You must trust in our all loving, all powerful, all knowing God who has it all under control. Fully accepting this for some might be a bit of a stressful feeling. For others it is incredibly comforting. The sooner you can let go of leaning on your own understanding and begin to lean on God's understanding, the sooner you will trade stress for comfort.
