You don't have to look far to know that Sophocles had this one exactly right when he said....
"One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life; That word is love." - Sophocles Just look at a child who doesn't feel the love of a Parent the way they should. So many kids today grow up without one or both Parents in their lives. This absense of one of the most basic sources of love in a childs life leads over and over again to disaster for that child.
The ultimate and greatest source of love is provided in abundance for those who will accept it from our heavenly parent, God our Father. In fact, as the verse from 1 John below tells us, God IS love, and with God we are freed of all the weight and pain of life.
"God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him." - 1 John 4:16
